Applecross Senior High School Redevelopment

Applecross Senior High School Redevelopment

Applecross Senior High School originally opened in 1958 and has been recognised as one of the top public schools in Western Australia. The redevelopment initially valued at $56 million, was staged over three and a half years to ensure minimal disruption to school activities, as the Education Minister instructed construction to take place while students continued to use existing facilities.

Our package of works included construction of the new design and technology workshops, library, food and textile studios, a visual arts block, sports hall and adjoining courtyards and access ways. Included in the formwork and concrete package were a number of architecturally designed pre-cast and tilt-up concrete elements, including highly complex irregular shapes, a range of decorative coloured and textured ground slabs, footpaths, curved and feature retaining walls, steps and ramps.
